1. Use lists. Top ten this top ten. We all love these lists. We like to find out what or who made the list.

2. Answer all emails and comments that require a response. Do not let people think that the site is unmanned. This will cause readers to not stick around.

3. Start from the beginning and let readers see your progress. Let them see you struggle as a responsible site. This let’s the readers see that you earned your readership.

4. Blog Design. First impressions really do count. If a reader comes to your page and sees a total unorganized mess, he or she is not going to rely upon your content to hold true. Be sure to incorporate Digg, Reddit, and Technorati to your site. They can self boost traffic to your site.

5. Content. Content is key. You must have content relevant to your niche and to the point. Do not drag your article out too long. Readers will get bored and lose interest in your post.
